Forensic Services for the Prosecution

Key Forensic Services offer a comprehensive range of forensic services for the prosecution, for police forces and other law enforcement agencies.

Key Forensic Services is an approved forensic service provider under the National Forensic Framework Next Generation Agreement. We are contracted to provide our specialist services to the majority of police forces in England and Wales.

ISO 17025:2017 Accredited Forensic Science Services

Through our network of strategically-located operational sites, we offer a comprehensive range of ISO-17025:2017 accredited, forensic science services.

We provide a one-stop shop approach for investigators and scientific support staff, supported by our scene attendance service and other support services, such as specialist forensic training, advice on laboratory accreditation, including QC and Environmental Monitoring Testing.

Our Teams

With our Major Incident Teams based at all our UK sites, forensic crime scene support can be mobilised at short notice via our Duty Manager System, which is available 24-7.

We have a highly competent, multi-skilled team of case-working scientists, all of whom are accustomed to presenting professional forensic expert opinion in the courtroom and who have many years of experience working as forensic practitioners on routine and high-profile cases.

A significant number of our forensic staff have more than 20 years of experience and are widely regarded as scientific leaders in their field.

Our business operates seven days a week and is focused exclusively on our police customers’ requirements and the need to provide them with forensic effectiveness, unquestionable integrity and value for money.

Our Fleet

Our own, dedicated collection-and-delivery service utilises a fleet of modern, unmarked vehicles, all of which are equipped with the latest security, tracking and GPS technology. The majority of our drivers are ex-police staff and therefore fully appreciate the nature and requirements of our police customers.

Accreditation

Assessed by UKAS, many of the methods are ISO 17025:2017 and the FSR Code of Practice (Version 1) accredited. Our laboratory number is 10308, please see www.UKAS.com for scope of accreditation.
